A few things you might be wondering.

Do you have an event tonight or this weekend?

We meet every Friday and Saturday, from 7:30–10:00 PM in Taipei. Friday is at Somewhere Bar and Saturday is at Tea Bar, both in Da’an.

Check our Luma calendar for your date and any monthly specials. If tonight isn’t Friday or Saturday, you can plan for the next weekend. You’re welcome to come alone.

Am I the right age? Will I fit in?

You’re welcome at any age and from any background. We’ve had first-year university students and a retired guest from abroad who was 60.

You don’t need to be a certain kind of person to join us. Just come with an interest in meeting people.

How many people usually come?

It changes from night to night. Our weekly events usually have around 15 to just over 30 people.

Fridays tend to be livelier, with people staying together for the bar hop afterward.

Do I have to drink or spend money on the bar hop?

No. There’s no pressure to drink alcohol or buy anything during our after-event bar hop. You can come along for the company.

You’re welcome even if you don’t drink. Joining the bar hop is optional. Stay as long as you like, or head home after the social.

Can I come alone?

Yes, please do. Many people come on their own. Tell a host it’s your first time, and we’ll help you meet a few people.

Are travelers welcome?

Yes. I know how much meeting people can add to a trip. Even if you’re only in Taipei for a night or two, I’d love you to join us.

Is it only for foreigners?

No. Some of us are Taiwanese, some have moved here from abroad and some are just passing through. You’re welcome wherever you’re from.

How much does it cost?
  • Friday: NT$350
  • Saturday: NT$350
  • Monthly Singles Night: NT$500

Your weekly Friday or Saturday entry includes one drink. You pay when you arrive.

Do I need to pay when I RSVP?

No. Choose your date on Luma, RSVP for free and pay at the venue.

Why should I RSVP?

It’s an easy way to keep the details handy. Luma will remind you before the event, and you can add it to your calendar.

What if my plans change?

Just cancel your RSVP on Luma. I know travel plans can change.

Do I need to drink alcohol?

No. You can choose a non-alcoholic drink. Come for the company.

Do I need to sing on Saturday?

Not at all. You can chat, play darts or listen. Only sing if you feel like it.
